The Calcutta High Court has ordered the Bengal government to transfer land parcels to the BSF by March 31 for fencing the India-Bangladesh border. This directive follows a PIL highlighting national security threats from unfenced border stretches. The court will also consider emergency land acquisition for pending proposals.
