Former Dhaka police chief and two ex-deputies have been sentenced to death by Bangladesh’s International Crimes Tribunal for crimes against humanity. Convicted in absentia, they were found guilty of leading a brutal crackdown on 2024 protests that led to hundreds of deaths and the ouster of then-PM Sheikh Hasina.
