European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen stated that a successful India contributes to global stability, prosperity, and security. She, along with European Council president Antonio Costa, were the first joint EU leaders to attend India’s Republic Day parade as chief guests. Their visit precedes an India-EU summit focused on trade, security, and strategic cooperation.
