A 23-year-old Hindu mechanic, Chanchal Chandra Bhowmik, was tragically burnt alive in his Narsingdi workshop after it was deliberately set ablaze while he slept. Despite assurances of minority protection, this planned arson, captured on CCTV, saw Chanchal trapped and unable to escape the flames. Police are investigating and forming a team to apprehend the perpetrators.
