Bangladesh cricket faced fresh turmoil as BCB director Ishtiaque Sadeque resigned on the same day the ICC replaced Bangladesh with Scotland for the 2026 T20 World Cup. Sadeque cited family and personal reasons, denying any internal disputes. The ICC removed Bangladesh after it refused to play in India over security concerns. Scotland were named as the replacement based on ICC rankings.
