A 24-year-old man from Jaunpur allegedly severed part of his left foot to claim disability benefits for NEET medical admission. Initially reporting an attack, police uncovered his motive through his diary and girlfriend’s statement, revealing his desperation for MBBS admission. He reportedly used a machine and possibly anesthetics for the act.
