Canada is expanding academic engagement with India as Indians face headwinds in the US higher education system. Universities Canada will lead 21 Canadian university presidents on a multi-city India mission to explore research collaboration, academic exchange and transnational education. The initiative aligns with renewed bilateral ties, CEPA negotiations, Canada’s $1.7-billion research strategy and upcoming high-level visits, strengthening long-term education, research and industry partnerships across government, academia and innovation ecosystems in both countries over coming years.
