IAS officer shunted over dog-walking in stadium is the new Delhi MCD commissioner

Sanjeev Khirwar, a 1994-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new municipal commissioner of Delhi. This comes over three years after he was transferred out of the capital following a controversy involving walking his dog at Thyagaraj Stadium, which allegedly disrupted athletes’ training.
