US President Donald Trump has called off planned tariffs on European allies, citing a “framework for a future deal” concerning Greenland and the Arctic. Trump announced this on Truth Social, stating the tariffs set for February 1st would not proceed. He also previously ruled out using force to acquire the island from Denmark, demanding immediate negotiations instead.
