The Supreme Court has asked the government to respond to a Public Interest Litigation seeking concessional AC train fares for acid attack survivors. The NGO ‘Atijeevan Society’ argues that survivors, often from weaker economic backgrounds, need AC travel for frequent medical treatments but cannot afford it.
