India suffered their first-ever bilateral ODI series defeat at home against New Zealand, with captain Shubman Gill highlighting the inability of batsmen to convert starts into long innings. Fielding lapses also proved costly. Gill, however, sees the loss as clarity rather than crisis, with time to address areas for improvement before the World Cup.
