A massive fire ripped through Karachi’s Gul Plaza shopping mall late Saturday, killing at least six people, including a firefighter. Rescue operations continued into Sunday as many were feared trapped inside the complex, which suffered severe structural damage. The blaze, suspected to be caused by a short circuit, has reignited concerns over fire safety standards in the city.
