Karan ‘Defaulter’ Pathak, the main shooter in a kabaddi player’s murder, was killed in a police encounter in Mohali after escaping custody. Pathak had fled while being transported to a hospital, leading to a manhunt. He was later traced and fatally wounded when he allegedly fired at police.
