Stray dogs were allegedly culled using lethal injections in Telangana’s Kamareddy and Hanamkonda districts, with elected representatives reportedly fulfilling election promises. Police have registered cases against several sarpanches and others involved. Carcasses were exhumed for post-mortem examinations, and viscera samples sent for analysis. The Supreme Court also expressed concern over stray animal management.
