Popular singer Prashant Tamang, winner of Indian Idol Season 3 and formerly associated with Kolkata Police, has passed away at 43. Hailing from the Darjeeling hills, Tamang was a nationally recognized artist, with West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee expressing deep sorrow over his untimely demise.
