A 67-year-old retired man was subjected to a six-day “digital arrest” by cyberfraudsters posing as TRAI, Maharashtra cybercrime, and senior police officials. The elaborate scam led to the victim being duped of Rs 35.25 lakh through a series of threats and demands for financial information.
