The Madras High Court has ordered the CBFC to immediately issue a U/A certificate for Vijay’s film ‘Jana Nayagan’, quashing the chairperson’s letter as “without jurisdiction.” Justice PT Asha deemed the complainant’s grievance an “afterthought.” Despite the court’s relief, the film’s release is delayed due to “unavoidable circumstances,” with a new date to be announced soon.
