A 14-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped in Kanpur, leading to the arrest of a YouTuber and a manhunt for an absconding sub-inspector. Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal removed a Deputy Commissioner and suspended the local SHO for alleged lapses and distortion of facts. The victim’s family reported initial police inaction and a cover-up attempt.
