A senior leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s volunteer wing, Azizur Rahman Musabbir, was fatally shot in Dhaka’s Karwan Bazar area Tuesday night. Another man, Sufian Byapari Masud, sustained injuries in the attack. Police confirmed the incident, which led to a protest by around 200 BNP activists at the scene.
