The US embassy in India has warned student visa holders that violating laws can lead to visa revocation, deportation, and permanent ineligibility for future US visas. This follows a similar warning for H1B and H4 visa applicants. Recent changes also mandate in-person interviews for most non-immigrant visa applicants.
