India’s telecom sector is rolling out Calling Name Presentation (CNAP), a new feature displaying registered caller names on incoming calls. This initiative, driven by DOT and TRAI, aims to combat rising spam and fraud by enhancing caller identification. The nationwide rollout for 4G and 5G networks is expected by March 31, 2026.
