An accused in the murder of AAP sarpanch Jarmal Singh, Harnur alias Noor, was killed in a police encounter in Tarn Taran. Noor, a key associate of foreign-based gangster Prabh Dasuwal, was involved in reconnaissance and planning for the killing. The encounter occurred when police attempted to apprehend him following intelligence reports.
