Former Australian cricketer Damien Martyn has awoken from an induced coma following a severe meningitis diagnosis. His former teammate Adam Gilchrist described the rapid recovery as a “miracle,” with Martyn now able to talk and respond positively to treatment. Doctors are hopeful he will soon be moved out of intensive care.
