Venezuela entered a period of uncertainty after President Nicolás Maduro was captured during a US military operation. With no immediate political transition announced, the Supreme Court ordered Vice President Delcy Rodríguez to step in as interim president. Rodríguez condemned the US action, demanded Maduro’s release, and insisted he remains the country’s legitimate leader, even as she took charge of government functions alongside senior ministers and military officials.
