Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has died at the age of 80. A dominant political figure for decades, Zia had been in critical condition for months. She served as prime minister twice, first becoming the nation’s first female premier in 1991.
