A severe cold wave has disrupted normal school schedules across several North Indian states. According to media reports, Uttar Pradesh has ordered the closure of all schools until January 1, 2026, while Bihar and Jharkhand have announced temporary closures with revised timings in some areas. Heavy snowfall has extended winter holidays in Himachal Pradesh. Rajasthan continues scheduled winter vacations, while schools in South and East India remain open with normal classes.
