VHT: Samal equals Samson’s record with double ton; Odisha still lose

Swastik Samal smashed a brilliant 212, becoming only the ninth player to score a double century in Vijay Hazare Trophy history, as Odisha posted 345/6 after recovering from 59/3 against Saurashtra. His 261-run stand with Biplab Samantray powered the total. However, centuries from Sammar Gajjar and strong knocks from Vishvaraj Jadeja and Chirag Jani helped Saurashtra chase 346 to win by five wickets.
