A court in Gautam Buddha Nagar has dismissed the Uttar Pradesh government’s plea to withdraw prosecution in the Akhlaq lynching case. The judge’s decision was lauded by Akhlaq’s lawyer, who stated that justice has been served to the family. The next hearing is scheduled for January 6th.
