The Telangana government is taking over Phase-I of the Hyderabad Metro Rail from Larsen & Toubro for Rs 2,000 crore, aiming to improve public transport and bridge the city’s socio-economic divide. This move is part of a larger plan to expand the Metro network, with Phase-II proposals submitted to the Centre for funding and approval.
