A tragic collision between the Rajdhani Express and a herd of wild elephants in Assam’s Hojai district resulted in the deaths of seven elephants, including four calves. The accident also derailed the train’s locomotive and five coaches. While no passengers were injured, the incident has sparked calls for improved wildlife corridor safety and investigation into the cause.
