The United States has imposed sanctions on seven individuals linked to Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores. The Treasury Department accused them of supporting Maduro’s “rogue narcostate” and threatening regional stability. This action follows a series of US military buildups and operations in the Caribbean aimed at pressuring Maduro’s government.
