Parliament has passed the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) or VB-G Ram G Bill, 2025, replacing MGNREGA. The new law aims to enhance rural employment by focusing on durable asset creation and transparency, despite opposition protests over alleged removal of Mahatma Gandhi’s name.
