A Sabarkantha man defrauded his friends by posing as a woman online. He lured bachelors seeking brides with fake marriage proposals. The accused, Ankush Patel, collected over Rs 5 lakh from one victim over two years. Police investigations reveal at least 10 other friends were similarly cheated. The accused allegedly used the money to repay debts.
