The Centre is set to replace MGNREGA with the VB–G RAM G Bill, 2025, guaranteeing 125 days of wage employment and focusing on water security, rural infrastructure, and climate resilience. This revamped law aims to boost the rural economy, benefit farmers and labourers through increased income, predictable work, and digital formalisation, addressing past systemic failures.
