India’s upcoming census in 2027, costing Rs 11,700 crore, will be the nation’s first fully digital exercise. Conducted in two phases from April 2026 to February 2027, it will cover housing and population, including social status and caste details. This significant undertaking is also projected to create one crore employment opportunities.
