State attorneys general have warned 13 major tech companies, including Microsoft and Google, about the “delusional outputs” of AI chatbots. They argue these “dark patterns” pose mental health risks and violate state laws, citing incidents of murder-suicides and child exploitation. The officials demand independent audits and regulatory review of AI products.
