Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, faced criticism for winking at a journalist after she questioned him about Imran Khan. Chaudhry had previously called the former PM a “mentally ill person” and a “security risk,” an unprecedented public stance by the military. Khan is currently serving a 14-year sentence.
