India has demanded assurances from China that its citizens won’t face selective harassment after an Arunachal Pradesh resident was reportedly mistreated at Shanghai airport. New Delhi strongly protested the incident, reaffirming Arunachal’s status as an integral part of India. The MEA advised Indian nationals to exercise caution when traveling to or transiting through China.
