Defence minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 125 border infrastructure projects, including the Shyok tunnel in Ladakh, at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore. These projects will enhance troop mobility, boost tourism and employment, and strengthen faith in democracy in remote regions. Singh highlighted their importance for security, economy, and disaster management, emphasizing connectivity as a backbone of national security.
