IIT Bombay has incorporated BharatGen Technology Foundation, a company dedicated to building a Large Language Model reflecting India’s diversity. This national sovereign AI effort, backed by significant government funding, aims to develop AI that understands over 22 Indian languages and provides accessible models for developers and enterprises.
