A Bengaluru Central Prison warder, Rahul Patil, was arrested for attempting to smuggle cigarettes and absorbent paper into the barracks. The banned items were discovered during a frisking at the prison entrance. This incident follows a recent ban on cigarette sales within the prison canteen.
