Pakistan has officially appointed Field Marshal Asim Munir as the country’s first Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), a significant military restructuring. This new role consolidates operational and strategic authority under a single command, aiming for faster decision-making. Munir will concurrently serve as Chief of Army Staff for a five-year term.
