Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally requested a presidential pardon while his corruption trial is ongoing. President Isaac Herzog’s office acknowledged the “extraordinary request” and stated it would be considered responsibly after reviewing all relevant opinions. The plea follows an appeal from US President Donald Trump.
