Brazilian volleyball player Julia Rocha Marques de Azevedo, 28, survived a shooting attempt in Rio de Janeiro after being shot in the back. The bullet narrowly missed her spine and bladder, with doctors stating she was lucky to be alive. Azevedo, who feels ‘born again,’ is recovering at home and aims to return to volleyball within a month.
