India has strongly protested China’s detention of an Indian citizen from Arunachal Pradesh at Shanghai airport, asserting the region’s integral status. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that China’s denials won’t alter this reality, emphasizing the incident violated international norms and China’s own transit regulations. Beijing, however, rejected harassment claims.
