The UGC has issued a new advisory asking universities to nominate senior faculty for the National Mission for Mentoring, a programme designed to link experienced academics with schoolteachers. The move aligns with NEP 2020’s plan to build a national mentoring system. Selected professors will guide teachers in pedagogy, digital literacy, foundational learning and other key areas through the NMM portal.
