Elon Musk’s ambitious cost-cutting initiative, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been quietly dissolved by the Trump administration, eight months ahead of its scheduled end. While DOGE claimed significant savings, its financial claims remained unverified. Many of its functions have been absorbed by the Office of Personnel Management. Following Musk’s departure, former DOGE employees have dispersed across various government departments, taking on new roles.
