Israel has eliminated Hezbollah’s de facto chief of staff, Haytham Ali Tabatabai, in an airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. The strike killed five and injured 25. Hezbollah confirmed the death of the senior commander, who had risen through the ranks after previous leadership losses. Lebanon condemned the attack, warning of escalation.
