Starc’s 7 for 58 is now the best bowling performance of his Test career, surpassing his previous best of 6 for 9 against the West Indies in Kingston earlier this year and 6 for 48 against India in Adelaide in 2024. It is also the best bowling analysis ever recorded at Perth Stadium. Starc became only the second Australian bowler this century to take a seven-wicket haul at home in an Ashes Test.
