Roblox implements new age verification for chat; impact on kids, parents, and moderators

Roblox is introducing a new age-based chat system. Users will undergo age verification using facial scans or government IDs. This will place them into narrow age groups, restricting private chats between significantly different age brackets. The move aims to enhance child safety online and will be rolled out globally starting December 2025.
